A reminder...
whenever I come across this picture
I am reminded of my very first boss, Mildred
who
taught me that weeds are indeed flowers
she also taught me the importance of
being on time
i still pick queen anne's lace
and.....
i still struggle to be on time

tybee lighthouse
the lighthouse on tybee island
is the oldest & tallest in georgia
there are 178 steps to the top
i dislike heights & edges
but...
i knew the view at the top
would be spectacular
and i wasn't disappointed
i was happy to be back on solid ground

we're off to Savannah!
we woke early and headed to Savannah to have a girls day
and
celebrate my birthday
dada
(most of you know him as adam)
being a sweet guy and also knowing
babs was in need of some time to herself
watched over the kidlets
allowing us to share
a relaxing & fun day
we learned quickly while in tybee & savannah
parking is an issue
it's expensive & a bit of a hassle
the meter wouldn't take our one dollar bills
it wouldn't take babs credit card
or my debit card
we dug a little deeper in our wallets
and found different one dollar bills that it would take
after fighting with said meter,
we were headed down the streets of savannah
we walked river street along the harbor
shopped all the little shops
and enjoyed a wonderful
birthday lunch
we watched the boats come into and depart from the harbor
it was a perfect birthday!
thanks babs

life is fine on tybee island...
we made it!
we left the hill around 10:00 pm
and arrived in Savannah around noon the next day
addy did well
i think shelden and i whined more than she did
we haven't been here long enough to explore the
area just yet
we are spending the day
at the beach today
and perhaps do some wondering this evening
this kid got a taste of sea water at around 9 months
he's been hooked ever since
miss addy
being a newbie at walking
she's not so sure about walking on the sand
so
she's been crawling
more about this little island later
~*~
p.s.
thanks to everyone for the
"happy birthday wishes"
when we return to the hill, we're going to have a get together
to catch up
to celebrate
new jobs
new family additions
birthdays
anniversaries
&
sorry we haven't been in touch we've been island hopping
get together
we hope you'll join us
